Are you still doing repair work? I got a 746pro with the same issue, no transmit power. I don't have the tools nor half the skill set to solve it myself...

I just ordered a ps vita 1001 and it’s labeled not for sale on the top right of the sticker on the back. What does that mean

So power mosfet has cooked on one side... I got it apart without issue. Problem was not enough solder on back of chip so the failed end had overheated... It happens My question now is what temprature solder paste to use to replace the new device to board and heat spreader... I have some chipquick 138 degree c but notice the max channel temp on spec sheet is the usual 175... But instructions, say to keep device below 140 which is sensible... Anyone have any experience in this area... Regards Bob

I bought a TD-H3 maybe 5 months ago, and I love it! I've probably got 9 or 10 HTs, and it's probably my favorite. Especially considering the price. Actually, I'm probably going to buy another one......or two.

I'm a baby nubie female non tech older gal who's in charge of preparedness in my little family group. Always trying to close gaps and looking for alternative communication. I know these aren't for real long range but would help for monitoring and close communication needs. My problem is being so unfamiliar with terms, tech talk and just how the dang thing works has me sitting on a limb. I don't want to purchase, get the license and then stare at the radio like a cow at a new gate. Is there a group, teaching site, slow step by step instruction that can give this ole gal some confidence to buy and do all the things with these radios?

I’m new to Meshtastic I went crazy and ordered 20 heltec v3 and set 5 of them up for solar repeaters and routers. Then I got the tdeck and just started playing with that. Printed my own cases and even got my wife into it. The t deck was the only thing she wanted to use and I’m happy about that. Where I live zero cell service so mesh has been awesome. If there was an accident or car breaks down there is no way to call out for help. So between Meshtastic and GMRS I feel safer. I love the new look honestly I’m excited to try this new firmware. Just for fun I’ve been printing cases for GMRS hts that also fit a heltec v3. It’s been fun experimenting. So now I walk around with a GMRS btech pro and a heltec v3 built into one case. Just found this channel thanks to some random person talking to me on my mesh lol. Still searching to try and figure out if my memory card in my tdeck does anything?

i just bought this radio a week ago, i love that it has more frequency range than the usual low end cheap radios like the widely known uv-5r, and the fact of being programmable with chirp over USB C is really hand something i already did was listening to air traffic, it sounds quite well considering the airport is at 10km and with a mountain in between ive also talked with someone who had a uv-5r and it worked quite nice being at 6km of distance; no repeater used, just radio to radio

I've seen a few of these solder tutorials. A lot of them seem overwhelming with all the details but this one seems the most doable so I'm gonna give it a shot! Just one question, what temperature did you set your soldering iron to? What would you recommend?

The no fan with light loads is a nice feature of this, because it's fan is LOUD. The perfect size to run a full sized fridge and a few LED light's. It may not be pure sine wave, but I never noticed any buzz or interference like other un-pure inverters I had.. It sucks the fuses did not protect it from my shorted out lamp. Oh well. They're cheap on ebay.

I wonder if someday we’re going to find out these unbelievably cheap Chinese radios are bugged. When you see extremely underpriced priced Chinese computers and tv boxes, they usually have malware. Surely some radio nerd would have found that by now though, right?

Hey Man! Cool video. I picked up one of these a while ago and have done pretty much a total over haul of the guitar. But I have one question and , watching this video I am sure you can aswer it. What is the actual name of the 5 pin on board attenuator that you were adjusting for the volume whilst in DC mode? I cannot for the life of me find it anywhere hence I cannot get a replacement one. Just picked up a couple T-Decks and kept seeing these great UI systems on others online and wondered how they got that. You will have to keep us updated on the release of this. I might be able to get my father to use it with a better UI.
